Dimitris Salapatas

Dr Dimitris Salapatas is currently the teacher of Byzantine Music at the Cardiff branch of the School of Byzantine Music of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and G.B.
Dimitris enrolled to the School of Byzantine Music in London, under the direction of Dr Panayiotis Procopiou. When he moved to Athens for his studies, he joined the National School of Music (Ethniko Odeio) under the direction of Christos Hatzinikolaou, where he achieved the Certificate of Byzantine Music and Diploma of Byzantine Music.
Dimitris has a BA in Theology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a MA in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London, and a PhD in Anglican-Orthodox Relations from the University of Winchester.
He has been a Lambadarios at All Saints Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Camden Town, London from 2010 up to 2021, where he had also established the All Saints branch of the School of Byzantine Music. He is currently the Right Chanter at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Peter and St Paul, Bristol.
Dimitris is a Religious Studies teacher at a Secondary School in the Southwest of England.
